The Hilltops LGA lockdown will be extended a further 7 days.

Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said “I have just received confirmation that due to the evolving risk to the community in rising case numbers and advice from NSW Health, the lockdown for the Hilltops LGA will be extended for another 7 days.”

“I know this will be disappointing for some but I would like to praise the community for the efforts they have made so far in slowing the spread of COVID-19.”

“Testing numbers among the community have been amazing and I thank those who have come forward and continue to come forward for testing. I also thank all of the health professionals that have been involved to meet testing demands.”

“Let’s continue our rapid response to COVID-19 by getting tested and getting vaccinated.”

Testing Clinics are still in operation throughout the Hilltops Region and Cootamundra as stated below:

On Saturday a lady attended the COVID Testing Clinic at Young Town Hall, due to lack of seating provided the lady had to stand which resulted in her fainting and being taken to Hospital.
