Harden lad Ned Hufton’s star is in the rise with the 12 year old selected to play for Southern Inland Rugby recently. Ned is known throughout local football for his determined running and tackling ability and he has been putting those skills to good use in two matches representing the Southern side. Southern Inland defeated Daramalan College in Canberra recently with a 43-0 scoreline before taking on Central West in Cowra last weekend, going down in a close match 20-0. Ned and his side will head to Canberra on May 14 to play the ACT School Boys before heading to the NSW State championships in Camden. Ned is certainly at the top of his game after trialling against 50 other boys from Leeton, Albury, Griffith, Temora, Cootamundra, Tumut and West Wyalong to initially make the side before being awarded the captaincy. He currently plays for the Young Yabbies U12’s side and loves his rugby.
