Police have released CCTV as they continue to investigate a vehicle explosion in Young last year.
About 10pm on Tuesday 14 November 2017, police were called to the intersection of Clarke and Lovell Streets in Young after numerous reports of a vehicle explosion.
A thorough examination by crime scene officers and the Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit determined that the white Ford Falcon was destroyed by an explosive device in a deliberate act.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District commenced an investigation into the incident.
As inquiries continue, officers have released CCTV of a vehicle of interest that is described as a dark-coloured sedan with ACT registration.
The officer in charge of Young Police Station, Detective Inspector Scott Wilkinson, said, “Two pedestrians in the vicinity of the explosion were lucky not to have been injured. It was extremely dangerous.
“We’re asking that if anyone recognises the car, or has any information about who was responsible for the explosion, that they give us a call.”
