BREAKING – FIRE AT BOBBARA.
A fire has broken out on Mt. Bobbara this afternoon near Binalong. Crews were alerted after 1:30pm with a large number of brigades fighting the blaze. They are being assisted by light planes and a helicopter.

30 hectares have been burnt and the fire is currently classified as being controlled.
50 firefighters are currently fighting the fire.
Crews have prevented damage to communications infrastructure in the area and they will continue to build containment lines in an attempt to contain the fire.
The fire remains at the ‘Advice level’.
There is no threat to property in the area at this stage.
