Murrumbidgee Local Health District confirms an additional location of concern has been identified in the District.

A visitor to a private residence in Cootamundra on Friday 16 July has subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.

The household members have been identified as close contacts, and have all been tested and are isolating in accommodation outside the regions.

A MLHD spokesperson said at this stage, there are no risk posed to the community both in Cootamundra and the MLHD.

But, the message is clear at the moment and that is to get tested even if you experience the mildest of symptoms.

As a precaution, the MLHD Mobile Testing Clinic will be deployed to the Cootamundra Showground today, Tuesday 20 July, to enable local people to be tested.

Testing numbers will be accounted for at the end of today, and results will be in The Times print on Thursday.

Anyone who attended the Shell Coles Express Gundagai on Thursday 8 July between 1.00am and 1.30am is considered a close contact and should get tested immediately and self-isolate for 14 days.

Jindera Shell

Anyone who attended the Jindera Shell on Saturday 10 July between 11.15am and 11.45am is considered a close contact and should get tested immediately and self-isolate for 14 days.

Hay Shell Roadhouse

Anyone who attended the Hay Shell Roadhouse on Saturday 10 July between 7.30am – 8.00am is considered a close contact and should get tested immediately and self-isolate for 14 days.
