The Twin Town Times is a family owned business. From one family business to another, we must celebrate the many people who have made what is the Twin Town Pizza and Kebab store, what it is today.
In fact, like many locals we have visited the ‘pizza shop’ or the ‘Nwessers’ for what is now decades. Some of us even went through Bob and Helen Molloy’s paddock and jumped across the Murrimboola Creek to taste the delights on offer and to bring food home for our family meal. We know that this great local family will continue to provide our great little town the same service they have for years. Jamal and Susan are taking a well earned break and Claudia will be continuing what has become an institution in the twin towns.

Claudia Atallah has taken over Twin Town Pizza & Kebabs from her brother Jamal Nwesser and wife Susan.

Claudia is no stranger to the business as she has been working for Jamal for 2 years, training up on all aspects, especially the art of
making the pizzas. Customers may still see Jamal in the shop from time to time offering assistance, however, he is taking some much needed time at the moment to take care of his health. Claudia said, “Jamal and Susan would like to thank the community for their support.”

Jamal and Susan have run the family business for 2 1/2 years. Claudia’s other brother Joe also ran Twin Town Pizza and Kebabs for 6 years with his wife Vesna, before they ventured to Young to open their own successful Kebab shop, known as the Kebab House. Jamal spent around 15 years running the business prior to that.

Claudia’s family have always been involved in the pizza and kebab shop. The business originally started in Sydney under Claudia’s parents Jim and Alia Nwesser, before they came to live in Harden-Murrumburrah and brought their family with them. Claudia said, “Dad was a contract painter
before he decided to open the pizza shop in North Ryde in 1982. They moved to Harden in 1986 because they wanted something different, to bring the kids out to the country.”
Claudia will be the first female among her siblings to take the business on. Customers have been enjoying the Nwesser’s food for many years and have been known to travel distances to taste their beautiful food.
Claudia will be continuing the same menu and customer service that the shop has become well known for and will also add some new ideas to the menu in the future. Claudia said, “I have introduced a new Italian snack pack, which is chips with a bolognese sauce. Another addition will be a garlic pizza which will be a special for a Wednesday night starting on the 26th Feb.”

Twin Town Pizza and Kebabs opens Wednesday through to Sunday for lunch and dinner. From 10:30am til close.
Pizzas start from 5pm during the week and on the weekends from midday. Hamburgers and steak sandwiches are available at lunch and conclude at 3pm.
Claudia and her team hope to open the store on a Monday or Tuesday
occasionally when the town has
special events, like school or sporting events to be available for their
customers when there are a lot of people in town.
Twin Town Pizza and Kebabs has been supporting the twin towns for over 35 years. Make sure you get in to the store and say hi to Claudia as she embarks on this new venture.
