Harden Hawks First Grade Coach Michael Quinn will be taking to the field for the first time in 8 years to help raise money for the Ronald McDonald House in Canberra. He is seen here in the early stages of his career. ‘Mick’ will certainly show his less experienced counterparts how it is done. He is widely regarded as one of the best footballers to come out of the Twin Towns.

The community of Harden Murrumburrah has been deeply affected by the passing of local lad Lui Polimemi. Lui was well known for his football capabilities and his lovely nature. He played in the combined Harden Boorowa juniors, and the two clubs have come together to help raise funds for Ronald McDonald House in Canberra.

Local football legend, Michael Quinn (Harden Hawkes coach) will be taking to the field, this Saturday along side one of Boorowa’s former best players Stuart Gay (Boorowa Rover’s coach) The gentleman have agreed to pull on the boots for their respective clubs and will come out of retirement for this special occasion.

As friends of Gino and Jenny Polimeni Michael and Stuart decided that they wanted to do something to help. Whilst Lui was in hospital, the Polimeni family stayed at Ronald McDonald House. The appearance of these war horses will hopefully see the crowd delve in to their pockets with all money going to the cause. A target of $1000, was quickly reached and the figure is now sitting closer to $3000.

The day will kick off at 1:30pm, Youth League play Gungahlin followed by First Grade Harden Hawks V’s Boorowa Rovers at 3pm. At half time the specially marked donation buckets will circulate the oval for supporters to chip in. Please dig deep and donate to this very worthy cause.
