15 year old Breanna Trembath will represent New South Wales later this month when she ventures to the United States to compete in her chosen sport of Polocrosse. The Year 9 Yanco student has seen her interest in the sport grow over the last few years, and that interest mixed with natural talent and hard work has seen her make the U16 side. Her mother Sandra said “She has been playing since she was 7 years old. She made the Australian Junior Squad this year and she was awarded the Best Overall Junior in the carnival when they came up against Queensland.” Every 2 years, New South Wales Polocrosse selects 4 boys and 4 girls from the state to travel to the US and train, develop their game and play matches. The team will arrive in Alabama on June 23 before they play 2 test matches on June 27 and July 2. They will then commence a 10 day tour through US states before departing. Breanna is hoping to play at the Nationals in 2016 and her efforts in the US will help determine if that is possible.
