The Harden Hawks Club had the bye last weekend and the Binalong Brahmans did as well when the Boomanulla Raiders rang on Saturday morning to cancel their trip down the Burley Griffin Way. It was dissapointing as Binalong were holding their sponsors day.
The Jersey girls took the club’s frustration out on the Raiderettes smashing them 25 tries to 1. Whilst the ladies sides of Yass and Binalong sit on 22 points and will meet in the first week of the finals, the Hawkettes will meet the Bungendore Tigerettes as the Raiderettes cant make an impact from where they sit.
Binalong will finish first in the George Tooke Shield and Harden and Yass will fight for 2nd position with the Hawks having the better run home with Yass having to play Binalong in the last round.
Statistically Boomanulla and Crookwell can still make the play off but will need to rely on results going in their favour.
Boorowa have been dissapointing this year for a side that has been strong in previous years and have not won a game all year conceding 456 and scoring only 74.
The fans would love to see a Harden V Binalong Grand Final but Yass and Bungendore may spoil the party yet.
