Harden Bendigo Bank Branch Manager Allyson Wales is ecstatic with the announcment that the Harden Branch has now reached $100,000,000 funds under management.
Allyson Wales, the Manager of the Harden branch of the Bendigo Bank, said yesterday that they are excited to have reached the goal of one hundred million dollars. She said, “We have had great support from the community and the more support we get the more we can give back.”
Allyson has been the bank’s manager since December 2016 and she just loves it. She said, “I enjoy coming to work each day because I know everyone who comes into the bank and I am here to assist everyone with their banking needs.” She said her plans for the future included growing the bank and getting good returns for the shareholders.
During the last six months Allyson has been accredited to do rural lending and she is about to do small business lending accreditation so she is the ‘go to’ person for your needs.
Allyson said, ” I am surrounded by a wonderful staff, Janelle Slavin and Gale Curtis have been with the branch since day 1. Sarah Jones has been here 9 years and Caren Cantrill around 3 years. When asked if the demise of the NAB bank had affected their business, Allyson said that she was sorry to see any business leave a small town as it was a business closing.
It had obviously had a positive effect for them but negatively it was not good for the town. August will see new credit card products available at the Bendigo Bank and these will come with attractive interest rates. Warwick Luff from the Wagga branch is a financial planner and he visits the Harden branch on a fortnightly basis. Allyson invites residents to come into the branch and see just what the bank can offer.
The branch operates 9-5 Monday to Friday and 9-12 on Saturday. Achieving $100,000,000 on top of their 10 year anniversary earlier this year has given the branch something to celebrate. The bank has offered sponsorship for local events and causes, over the least 10 years, injecting tens of thousands of dollars back into the local community.
