Patrick Smith has recently commenced a carpentry apprenticeship under the guidance of Nathan Schofield. Patrick started labouring with both Nathan and fellow builder Luke Brown in November and quickly showed he had what it took to progress in the industry. Nathan said “Patrick will complete a certificate 3 in Carpentry when he finishes his apprenticeship. He showed a lot of potential during work experience and he has a lot of common sense. His time spent farming with his dad has given him a good background for building.” Both Schofield and Brown are currently working on several projects in the town with their recent work including extensions, re roofs and erecting frames and trusses for clients.
