Cootamundra’s largest employer will close its doors next Friday leaving 220 workers out of work.
The decision will have a flow on affect with many small businesses and operators functioning within the abattoir’s circle of business.
Member for Cootamundra Katrina Hodgkinson has been advised that assistance will be extended to staff who find themselves out of a job because of the decision, including payment of full entitlements and ongoing support as necessary.
