31 year old truck driver Matt Howarth has not only a skill for driving trucks, he is also a very talented photographer. He has been able to mix the two skills together to produce some stunning work. Work which is getting a lot of attention on social media.

Matt has been driving for around 11 years, to his mates he still gets called ‘Brocky’ a nickname he picked up in highschool due to his love of all things motors. When he gets a chance, during a stop or a rest break, he uses the camera on his phone to snap his trucks and the scenery around them to tell a story.

He drives the east coast of Australia in much of his work and said he meets lots of different and interesting people. Matt steers a T909 Director for Matt & Kelly Hardy under the Makekadi Haulage banner out of Young in NSW. Matt snapped this brilliant photograph above in Wagga while waiting to load. The other photograph was taken during harvest.

Matt said “Quite a few people have said I have an eye for detail and for getting good scenery. A few people have said we should do a calendar for the company, a couple of mates suggested I should start selling them. If people like what they see they can check them out on facebook or on Instagram under brockie_85.

The photographs are a great way for Matt’s family to keep up with him whilst he is on the open road. Partner Angla, step daughter Milly and daughter Poppy Rose are all able to see what Matt has been up to and look forward to his next photograph.

Matt has an extensive catalogue of photographs. If anyone is interested in seeing more they can contact the Twin Town Times and we will put you in contact with Harden Murrumbuurah’s newest and possibly most talented photographer. What about a coffee table book Brocky? A great present for your truckie mates.
