Anne said “I’m thrilled that people loved my photo. My Dad already has a tree picked out for the block splitter. It is a 35 ton Timber wolf splitter from Big Boys Toys. The chips will be flying in Jugiong this winter. It is just lovely to see a competition celebrating an Aussie country childhood. I can’t believe I won, all the phoos were gorgeous.” Anne wanted to thank everyone who voted for her. “I really appreciate it.”
More than 100 entries were received for the competition, with eight making the final, including Anne’s photograph. The competition aimed to celebrate the bush larrikin in all of us. Anne is rarely without a camera with her main subjects being her grandchildren, nature and the Jugiong area. Daughter Bec said “Mum is the kind of person that will put everyone first. She will do anything for anyone. She is so excited that the photo made it in to the paper let alone the finals. It’s nice to see people appreciating her work and interested in her story of the photo.”
