We all know these friendly faces. Well known locals Stewart Bruce President, Kristy Stevenson Secretary, Brian Dunn Vice President and Lynne Friend Treasurer, are a part of the board which assists the hard working team at Flexible Care in Harden.

The Murrumburrah Harden Flexible Care Services is as busy as ever, offering 6 different services to the people of the region. The office houses dozens of pieces of equipment available for loan. These range from wheelchairs, to walking frames to shower chairs, among many other pieces. This has proven invaluable for many people, especially when the potentially large retail cost of this equipment is considered.

The community transport bus remains a popular service in the twin towns, used by many to get to and from doctor’s appointments, the supermarket, hairdressers and any other instances in which residents require transport. The transport bus has been used to take a group over to Young Cinema, and makes monthly trips to the Central West Skin Cancer Clinic at Orange. A yard maintenance service is also offered for clients, ensuring those who find it difficult to undertake physically strenuous tasks are able to have a tidy home.

Flexible Care Services also operates the Meals on Wheels service, offering a variety of hot and frozen meals to vulnerable people in the community, or those that just need a hand getting back on their feet. Harden’s multi-service office is unique, with few other organisations offering as many services as they are able to, making the area lucky in that regard. Flexible Care Services can be contacted on 6386 3561, or the office can be found in the Trinity Centre, on the corner of East and Albury Streets.
