Charlie Madden has started his own business.
Charlie Madden, who is turning 14 this year is honing his entrepenarial skills by beginning his first of which may be many business ventures. Charlie said when interviewed, “I have always wanted to earn money and as I am a bit too young to get a job, I was looking into things I could do. I came across different things and then I got some help from dad and pop who thought a drink vending machine would go well at Madden’s depot.” A week into the venture Charlie is already reaping the rewards of selling 8 varieties of drinks, from the vending machine to the workers. Charlie said, “I am looking at buying another machine when I save up some more money”. Charlie said he chose the drink machine over other snack vending machines because food goes off and needs replacing. He also considered game machines but after some research decided it was not such a good idea. He said that along with the research he annoyed his mother and father for ideas. This type of business does not detract from his school work. His mum, Charlene said they were very proud of his efforts. Good luck with the venture Charlie..
