The 2016 SWS Field day has been moved to the Murrumburrah Showground due to the recent weather conditions. The grounds of St Clement’s at Galong have been deemed unsuitable for the large amount of people, vehicles and animals which would have descended on the site. The Murrumburrah Showground is situated off North Street in Murrumburrah. Thursday September 1.
The day’s itinerary includes:
9.00am Sheep to be penned
10.00am Field Day starts
- Merino Studs on display
- Wool fashions and products on display
- Sheep handling equipment and sheep dog display
- Farm Machinery on display
- Industry Specialists on hand providing up to date information
- Judging Event: SWS Pen of three Merino Hogget Rams – Wendouree Shield proudly sponsored by C J Anderson & Co PTY LTD
12.00pm
- Fashion Parade proudly sponsored by AWI, Bush Boutique – Young, Woolerina, The Loft, Lady Kate, Bow & Arrow.
- Judging of the 2016 SWS Stud Merino Breeders Ram of The Year proudly sponsored by Bromar Engineering and Riverina Wool Testers.
- Announcement of winners and presentation of prizes for the Stud competitions and Schute Bell Bill Carter Memorial Trophy for 2016 Spectators Choice.
4.30pm Field Day finishes
