Households urged to take advantage of Annual Chemical Clean Out

Hilltops Council is urging households to take advantage of three Chemical Clean Out events that will take place across the Local Government Area during August.

“These events provide local residents an opportunity to safely dispose of hazardous waste such as household, garden and pool chemicals, as well as other potentially hazardous materials,” said Councils’ General Manager Anthony McMahon.

“Through an initiative driven by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), residents are able to drop off unwanted or out of date chemicals and hazardous products at three locations across the Hilltops Region without charge,” he added.
