Experienced players such as Simon Snedden, Luke Brown and Tyson Astill will lead the Hawks against Bungendore today at McLean Oval.
The Harden Hawks had their season disrupted on Saturday when they had their match called off against Boomaulla in Canberra. All government owned ovals were closed due to the weather meaning four George Tooke matches were unable to be played. This now means Harden has been washed out twice. The first occurence was against Bungendore which was meant to be played last week at Yass on Wednesday evening. Yass Council closed the Shire’s ovals last week forcing the rematch to be
cancelled. Harden was expected to play Bungendore last night to catch up for the initial match which was postponed before facing them at Harden this Saturday. If the match went ahead last night and the weather prevailed the Hawks players will be forgiven for feeling they are in a state of deja vu when they line up again on Saturday at Mclean Oval. Youth League kick off at 1pm with the Hawkettes at 215pm before first grade commences at 315pm.
Bungendore is always a grudge match for the Hawks and if you would like to see plenty of tough football, head to McLean Oval on Saturday. The Hawks will be holding a fundraiser this Saturday at the Mechanic’s Institute commencing 6:30pm.
