SECURING CRITICAL FUTURES The HRDC will be the go to Board for all community and business endeavours within the old Shire Region of Galong, Jugiong and Wombat, Harden and Murrumburrah. Delegates representing the six sectors of Business, Health, Events/ Tourism, Sports and Recreation, Education, Culture and the Arts will work towards a growing, sustainable and dynamic future for the region, by securing identified, critical futures across all these community sectors.
We will ensure a future with an abundant economy, diverse and healthy lifestyles, within a culturally rich and engaged community. The Securing Critical Futures meeting was held at the Country Club last night, and those in attendance learnt about the structure, function and roles of the board members of the HRDC. A key role for the Delegates is to represent the multiple groups within their sector by becoming the channel to ensure that HRDC group is hearing their vision of building and growing their sector and how these ideas can work collaboratively with all the other sectors to increase the net worth and growth potential back to the region. This input will inform a strategic direction for the region. The HRDC will become the conduit, representing in one strong and united voice how the Hilltops Council can serve the people and the major sectors within the Region, to ensure our strategic goals are met.
The HRDC are still calling for highly motivated, passionate, organised and connected individuals to become Delegates for the identified sectors of Business, Health, Tourism/Events, Education, Sports and Recreation and Culture and Arts. Large representative groups not listed as a separate sector such as Transport and Agriculture are welcome to nominate a passionate, skilled Delegate to the HRDC board.
All those nominating for the HRDC Board, both executive positions (Chair, Deputy Chair, Secretary, Treasurer & Promotions Officer) and Delegate roles need to nominate themselves and attend the next HRDC meeting on the 5th July at the Harden Country club at 6 pm. All members of the board, both executive and delegates will be elected at this meeting.
