Bunyip Director Heather Gammon and Murrumburrah Public School Principal Clare Crawford have been instrumental in the opening of after school care for children in Harden Murrumburrah.

After 18 months of hard work, the Murrunyip Outside of School Hours (OOSH) and Vacation Care is up and running out of the old ballet rooms at Murrumburrah Public School (MPS). The service offers an educational child-minding programme for children from all schools aged 6 to 12 years, run between the hours of 8:00am and 9:00am, and 3:00pm to 6:00pm. It has been made possible thanks to the efforts of Heather Gammon, Director of Bunyip Preschool, and Principal Clare Crawford of Murrumburrah Public School. The programme is licenced for 27 children, with students from Trinity Catholic Primary School taking the bus to MPS for the service. “It’s the first time this kind of service has been offered in the town,” said Principal Clare Crawford. “It will make a significant difference for families.” In addition to before and after school care, Murrunyip will also be running educational vacation programmes during school holidays.
