Emma James has been showing plenty of skill at Robert’s Park over the last few years and will now take her Touch Football skills to the national level.

Harden sporting sensation, Emma James, will travel to Coffs Harbour early next month to compete in the Australian Touch Football Association’s National Touch League (NTL) tournament with the Southern Suns Touch Football team, made up of players from across southern New South Wales. Emma will be playing in the Women’s T League, comprised of teams from across Australia. The Southern Suns start the competition in a pool consisting of the Sydney Rebels, Sydney Cobras, Western Tigers, South Australia Heat, and Victoria.

Playing touch football in Young on Tuesdays and Harden on Thursdays, Emma is now complementing her already busy schedule with training on Saturdays in Yass in preparation for the tournament. Furthermore, she will also be heading north again to play in the New South Wales Combined High Schools (CHS) Touch Football tournament at Tweed Heads in June. Emma has also played for Riverina in Volleyball three years running, and will journey to Bathurst to play in the CHS Volleyball tournament in May. The Murrumburrah High School Year 12 student has continued to feature in the Riverina Soccer side since she was in Year 7. “She is so good at everything she puts her mind to sporting wise,” said Emma’s mother, Cindy James. “We haven’t even had the chance to think about it all yet.”
