This week’s final round of Touch Footy will see the ‘wind up’ of the competition rounds prior to the Semi Finals. Many teams have their fate in their owns hand with the results of at least 4 matches across 4 different grades in the balance and will determine who will stay alive to advance to the semi-finals and which teams can pack up their boots and sox for another year. All teams are reminded that the lowest ranked team in A, B, D & E grades will be eliminated after Thursday and 2 teams will be eliminated from C Grade after this week.
Games to watch out for will be the A grade clash between DPM Fitness and Average Joes. Average Joes turned up the heat last week in a ‘not so average performance’ to keep their chances alive and DPM can fire on any given night, so no guarantees yet as to who will bow out in A Grade.
B Grade sees the Pharmacy mob, Got the Runs and the Grizzlies from Garangula all hoping to stay alive.
Young Guns, Thompsons Rural and Electric Septics are in the deepest trouble in C Grade and all will be fighting for survival with 2 C Grades teams waving goodbye.
Romani Ranglers and Hard Rock Gym 1 are threatening extinction in D Grade, whilst E Grade will see GTH Hornets, Jugiong Jackasses and Hard n Fit all trying to avoid the wooden spoon.
Remember some teams are so close so it may even come back to a countback on tries.
As Molly says ‘Do yourself a favour’ and get down to Roberts Park on Thursday evening as it may be the last chance for some teams.
