The Harden Shire flags are proudly blowing in the breeze today in Neill Street.
Harden Shire Mayor John Horton has called on all residents of Harden Shire to attend the town meeting at the Mechanic’s Institute at 6pm.
The meeting is designed to inform the residents of Harden Shire as to the current position of Harden Shire in regard to the NSW Government’s forced amalgamations process and answer any questions residents have.
Horton said ” I ask that all of our residents attend this meeting and the public inquiry meeting at the Harden Country Club at 9am on Friday February 5. They are two of the most important meetings ever in the history of Harden Shire and we need everyone’s support.
The restore democracy group based in Harden has circulated a flyer to the town calling on residents to attend the Friday meeting.

Tuesday February 2 6pm – Harden community meeting at the Mechanic’s Institute
Thursday February 4 9am – midday Boorowa public inquiry at Boorowa Ex-Services Club.
Thursday February 4 3pm – 6pm Young public inquiry at Young Services Club.
Friday, February 5 9am – midday Harden public inquiry Harden Country Club
February 28 Written submissions close regarding the state government fit for future plans.
