Nathan McCarthy, has been making a name for himself on Television with a news story on his use of a drone for farming purposes.
Nathan joked, “It’s a great way to round up sheep…they react to the noise.”
Nathan’s film was shot at Weethalie during harvest, at Murphy’s at Galong and at John McCarthy’s.
Nathan became interested in drones when a mate from school showed him how to work one. His Mum Jane bought his first drone but he has recently updated with money he earned during the harvest. Nathan said the drone is very controllable and even when it loses power it always comes back to base.
Nathan’s film has had 200 likes and over 6,000 views. He has filmed some school events at St. Gregory’s in Campbelltown where he will be in Year 11 in 2016.
