On 30 November I travelled to the Women’s College, Sydney for the Junior State Debating Competition to represent the Riverina team. In each team there were four members who all had to be from different schools in the area, and I was lucky enough to have been chosen. In the three days we had 4 debates, of which we won 2. There was a three way tie in the placings and we didn’t quite make it to the finals. We felt a sense of achievement in accomplishing the two wins, considering we had just met before the first debate. All up it was a great experience and I would recommend for anyone to go if the opportunity arises. By Libby Foster.
