The South Western Wireless Communications Company (SWWCC) erected a mast on Little Bobbara last Friday, with wireless internet installation set to begin for houses and businesses in Galong. “We are live there now, and we are now connecting people,” said Stephen Byrne from SWWCC. “Out of the 80 houses in Galong village, there are around 30 to 40 to connect.” The Sibelco mining company is paying for the installation of wireless internet for homes at Galong, which was prompted by Sibelco’s own operational requirements. “If people in Galong village would like any more information, or would like to get connected, see Bill at the Post Office,” said Stephen. Packages start at $21.95 per month, which includes unlimited South West Wireless Traffic, local search and community features, free audio/video conferencing  in the LocalNet Area, 5GBs of Local Cloud Storage, antenna rental (subject to Terms and Conditions) and free 6GB of internet access. SWWCC is currently installing at Cootamundra and Temora, and they supply the Harden Free Internet that townsfolk and visitors alike enjoy.
