“We could have all been shot,” he added. Bill recalls Harden-Murrumburrah having four butcher’s shops at one point, and he even worked for all four of them. “There were two in Harden and two in Murrumburrah,” he said. One opposite the P&D Store, and the other was between Sewell’s old shop and the current Green Homes shopfront. “You can still see the tiles with the chooks and cows on it,” said Bill.
