Terri Chung and Pharmacy Manager Graham Martin-Dye at the Harden Chemmart Pharmacy.

The Harden Chemmart Pharmacy is introducing a new weight loss program, formulated in conjunction with the CSIRO. Impromy, which stands for ‘improve myself’, is a personalised weight loss program which differs from most shake and bar based weight loss regimes. “The program is about healthy eating and changing one’s lifestyle,” said Graham Martin-Dye of Harden Chemmart Pharmacy. “The program begins with a half hour consultation, where weight, BMI, blood pressure, Glucose levels are taken, and a plan is formulated.”

A personalised plan is developed, which evolves depending on the stage one is at with their weight loss. Staff at Chemmart will continue to liaise with the person, with further consultations taking place to ensure their weight loss plan is properly tailored to them. “It’s not just about shakes and bars. We’re here to hold their hand, keep them motivated and help them during their weight loss journey,” said Graham.
