Natalie Blundell has some exciting news to share. Thanks to the owners of ‘Algebra’, Julia Mclean and John Glenn, WOW saddles, Equestrian Australia and the Equestrian Association of New South Wales. Natalie will be campaigning and competing in the United Kingdom at the Badminton Horse Trials in May this year.
Badminton is regarded as one of the most prestigious 3 day events in the world and is a 4 Star event.
Natalie hopes to stay with 6 time Olympian and 7 time Badminton competitor Andrew Hoy who is one of the world’s best riders. She said the event will include many riders looking to impress national selectors in an attempt to
compete at The World Equestrian Games in Normandy in France at the end of August this year.
To compete in Badminton Natalie said she will be selling some of her horses and fundraising so that she can stay in the UK, which will give her a better chance of representing Australia and competeing at the next Olympics. Natalie’s horse Algebra is very consistant and she described him as a ‘super liitle horse truely capable of taking on world class opposition.’
Natalie welcomes anyone interested in attending her final lead-up events in Australia before she travels to the UK. They are Wallaby Hill, 8th and 9th of February, Sydney Eventing 18th of February, Albury Horse Trials on the 5th and 6th of April and if she hasn’t left for London yet, the Young Dressage Championships on the 18-20th of April.
