The Polocrosse Association of Australia have announced that the television production company, Palatine Productions, have been contracted to produce a documentary special titled “The Polocrosse Story” to be distributed and released on DVD in 2015.

Production has now kicked off and will continue through until July 2015.

The Harden Polocrosse Club were filmed by the documentary crew at an event in Hall. Many veteran players, including Kevin Bradford, featured prominently.

The Documentary will showcase the its history, the sport, the competitors, the horses, coaches & umpires, select events, community and “behind the scenes” to tell the story of Polocrosse. A significant part of the DVD will be incorporating the history of the game.

Any past or current players who have information on the history of the Polocrosse Association of Australia, particularly in the early years, are urged to contact the Polocrosse Association of Australia office either calling 1300 363 722 or emailing neo@polocrosse.org.au.

Palatine Productions are also looking for old historical movie footage of early polocrosse that would have been filmed using 8mm or 16mm film which they will be able to convert for the documentary.

Harden’s Polocrosse side (pictured) will star in a new documentary showcasing the sport and its history, to be released later in the year.
