Sarah Rowan of Harden Bearing Services will be feeling the breeze now after shaving off her flowing locks to raise money and awareness for her nephew, Jai Godbier, who suffers from Late Infantile Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD).
The shave, which took place last Saturday night at the Harden Country Club, raised an outstanding $1300.00 on the night.
“I was pretty gobsmacked,” said Sarah, who can’t believe the amount of support she received for Jai.
Harden Bearing Services are still selling armbands at $3.00 each to raise money for Jai. So far, 50 out 70 armbands have been sold, and larger sized armbands are arriving soon.
Johannes Smeets of H&S Metalcraft is also hosting a weekly online auction with 100% of the proceeds from each auction going to Jai Godbier. The auctions begin on the Thursday starting at 7:00am for 36 hours. It can be accessed via H&S Metalwork’s website: http://www.handsmetalcraft.com.au/auction-for-charity/swirls-in-mediterranean-blue.
Donations can still be made by purchasing armbands at Harden Bearing Supplies, or by direct deposit to the account of:
