Jack Alcorn was red hot for Harden against Young recently. He is seen here picking the ball up off the back of a ruck and diving over three defenders to score.

The Harden Red Devils will be heading up the highway, just a few clicks away from their Murrumburrah home, past the Catholic Church at Harden, before turning right in to McLean Oval to host the Temora Tuskers this Saturday afternoon.

Over the past few seasons the Devils have made an attempt to play at least one game a season up at their league counterparts stomping ground; offering a day of footy, drinks and camaraderie to the community.

The Hawks have yet again obliged with both clubs coming together on Saturday.

The Devils will close the day’s quadruple header, with the Worhawks opening the day, followed by the Hawkettes and the Harden Hawks, who will be lead out by Club legend Luke Brown who will play his 200th game.

Coach of the Red Devils Jack Alcorn looks forward to playing up-town, and the festivities that will follow the footy.

“It’ll be a lot of fun; it was just a coincidence that we’re going up on the same day Browny is playing his 200th game for the Hawks, it’s definitely a happy one though and hopefully we can get the win and celebrate with him after,” Alcorn said.

“The Tuskers are coming into it with pretty rough form, last time we played them they gave us a run for our money though and we expect this time it’ll be no different, we’re definitely going in with some confidence though.

“We’d like to thank the Hawks for accomodating us on their sponsors day; along with Browny’s 200th which we’d also like to congratulate him on, it’s going to be a great night and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without the Hawks help.”

The Red Devils will hope to reclaim some form after the long weekend; and are drawn favourable to do so against the winless Temora Tuskers.

The crowd will be buzzing and filled to the brim with Harden footy lovers, so why not head down to McLean Oval this Saturday and celebrate our local stars.
