The Harden Historic Truck and Tractor Club Inc. is set to host their 9th annual Truck and Tractor Show this Sunday at the Murrumburrah-Harden Showground on Woolrych Street.

Gates open to the public from 9am on day, with entry for attendees by donation, while exhibitors get free entry. The show has been running for 10 years however, is only at its ninth due to a Covid caused cancellation in 2021.

The show brings plenty of intrigued spectators yearly with last year’s being one of the most attended to date, with the event showcasing more and more incredible vehicles each year. At the show, punters can expect to see classic trucks and tractors, working trucks, buses, fire engines, military vehicles, stationary engines, and classic cars. Camping at the site is available for those who wish to do so for $25 per night, while there will be a free barbeque on the Saturday night for exhibitors who are staying overnight.

Besides the cars, trucks and tractors, there is something for everyone at the Truck and Tractor Show, including market and food stalls, photographic display, and free face painting for the kids. Kevin Sharp from the Harden Historic Truck and Tractor Club spoke to The Times in preparation for this week’s event.

“All the planning is coming on along nicely. We have no idea of numbers until the day because we don’t pre-register, so we don’t know until the actual day itself,” Kevin said. “We’ve got a fair few market stalls already which will be good, as well as a face painter. We’re getting a lot of interest for the event. “We’ve got market stalls selling car signs, lots of general market type stalls.

“There will be plenty of food, coffee stalls, cakes, lollies and everything else. “We’ve been getting good feedback over the last few shows from various clubs and groups. “All the feedback we’ve gotten we have taken it on board and it’s been good. “We’re lucky with the agencies we associate with, all of them are easy to work with and we’ve never had a problem. “We’re excited to get back out there and see the crowd. It’s a good family day out with plenty of country hospitality. “We encourage everyone to come down to see some really interesting vehicles, we will have classic cars as well as trucks. Anyone with interest in motor engines will have a great time.” The Truck and Tractor Show is always an event not to miss in Harden-Murrumburrah, so make sure you get down to it on the second weekend of next month.
