The Harden/Murrumburrah Arts Council secured a NSW Government Grant and will be holding a festival on Sunday October 9.

They will be artistically painting the reverse side of the Murrumburrah Silos. They also received support from the government for a new event, to celebrate the completion of the silo artworks, called the Silo Art Fest.

Held the day after the Harden Kite Festival (Sat 8th October) Heesco, the nationally acclaimed artist for silo artwork, will officially open the event, and Heesco is also programmed to complete the reverse–side silo artwork around the same date.

According to Greg Medway, “It is a family-friendly day encouraging the whole family and grandparents to get involved. The event will encourage everybody to discover their artistic capabilities with experienced artists present.

Activities include: First Nation Weaving Pattina Alchemy Woodturning Artistic Painting Real Sculpture Paint Pouring Also to recognise our historical past, Gold panning, Bush bands and hot Dampers!

During the day there will “instant prizes” awarded for enthusiastic participants whatever your age!
