Abbey Wade shapes to passagainst Boomanulla.

The Harden Worhawks confidently beat the Boomanulla Raiders 24-0 at Les Boyd Oval last Saturday in the bottom half of the table elimination final.

The girls battled through the mud on their way to four tries, which was accompanied by an impressive display of accurate kicking by Hunter Ings.

Ings has had an inconsistent year off the tee converting 25 per cent of her attempts but turned it on when it mattered and hit all four of her conversion kicks in the semi-final.

This win against the Raiders progresses the Worhawks through to the next round of the minor finals series against the UC Stars.

The last time these two teams met was in round five when the UC Stars came away with a narrow 14-8 win.

Hunter Ings and Ua Ravu are the keys to an upset win as they have scored 44 per cent of the Worhawks points this season.

The Worhawks will be looking to cover the Stars threat of Nicky Davies and Kiarna Mitchell who combined have scored 49 per cent of all the Stars points.

This Saturday, the Worhawks play the UC Stars at Crookwell Memorial Oval at 12:10pm.

The winner of this game will go on to play South Coast United in the minor grand final of the 2022 Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield.

The Worhawks will be hoping to take confidence out of their sisters at the Hawkettes for inspiration to push further into the Katrina Fanning Shield minor finals series.

The Worhawks have had a difficult season to this date, finishing second last on the ladder, but let’s hope the girls can surge on into September.
