This week Harden has welcomed 15 medical students from the Australian National University to town.

The students are all Post Graduates and in their second year of medicine. They have been assisting at the Kruger Medical Centre over the last couple of days.

Today they will be in Cowra to focus on indigenous health issues and will be working on the Harden Shire Council Pit Stop Health Check on Thursday.

On Friday they will be in Boorowa at the hospital and at Burrowa House Retirement Village.

The Harden Rotary Club hosted the students at the Harden District Bowling Club on Monday night where a dinner of barbeque and salads was held in their honour.

Several local Rotary families billeted the students in their homes during their stay in Harden.

The program is designed to give the students a taste of regional medicine and the challenges that Doctors face in the country. They may even return to the country to practice in the future.
