Harden Historic Truck and Tractor Club annual event has been run and is now done for the year with President Kevin Sharp very pleased with how the day went.

He said, “It went well, we were happy with it, the numbers of trucks were down but with price of fuel that was expected, we had more through the gate than normal. A lot of the trucks come up from Victoria but they were helping out carting hay to Lismore due to the floods.”

The club undertook a raffle style system this year where prizes were given out based on a paper ticket, however, Kevin said each truck will get a number as they come through the gate next year to simplify the process. He said, “All the stalls went well, the ice cream bloke was very pleased. We had about 120 trucks, tractors and classic cars.”

Up to 90 percent of those on show took part in the 1:00pm parade. “Nearly everyone took part in the parade and the trucks did two laps while the cars did one. Kenworth was the most popular with more of them than any other brand.” Now in its 8th year, it will be the 9th year next year as the event nears a decade of existence.

Next year’s event will be held on March 12 next year.
