The total number of identified COVID-19 positive patients in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) remains at 45. There are 43 recovered cases, and currently no hospitalisations. 8,806 people have been tested in the Murrumbidgee region.

With pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants reopening and travel restrictions to be lifted from next Monday 1 June, MLHD is calling on local businesses to be prepared.
“Many local business will now be preparing for staff to return to work,” said Director Public Health Tracey Oakman. “While there are rules around what businesses can and can’t do, all businesses
should have a COVID-19 safety plan.”

“It it’s critical that businesses ensure they have a safe, healthy and hygienic work environment,” said Ms Oakman.
MLHD continues to advise people to practise physical distancing and good hand hygiene.
“We ask that people ensure they maintain a physical distance of 1.5 meters from others and wash
their hands thoroughly and regularly,” said Ms Oakman.
