Media Release – Hilltops Council has received two separate development applications relating to the redevelopment of the Harden Country Club.
The first relates to the northeast corner of the site, fronting East Street, and proposes the development of new tennis and multipurpose courts and associated structures as well as the relocation of golf cart garages, relocation of maintenance sheds and associated works.

  • The installation of 4 floodlit courts (2 tennis and 2 multipurpose)
  • Erection of a new tennis pavilion
  • Relocation of golf cart garages and maintenance sheds; and
  • Associated works.

The four courts are to be established as an extension to the former greens on north east corner of the Harden Country Club, adjacent to East Street.  The plans submitted identify a fill height of 2.5m to support the provision of tennis court furthest from East Street. The location of the courts as proposed will require the relocation of the existing golf carts and machinery work sheds.

Public consultation was undertaken between January and March 2020 and several submissions were received.  Council is now seeking further information from the applicant to aid in finalising the assessment of the application.  Upon completion of this assessment, a report will be provided to Council for consideration.
