Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has a range of recruitment strategies to strengthen our workforce during the Covid-19 pandemic. We have also launched a recruitment campaign to entice health workers back to the District.
“We’re growing our workforce to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said MLHD’s Director of People and Culture Helen Emmerson.
The campaign comes at a time when MLHD is predicting an ongoing increase in COVID-19 positive cases, despite the recent plateau in numbers.
“We still need to be prepared as a District for what lies ahead, and ensuring that we have the right resources, including the right mix of workforce moving into the foreseeable future is one of our top priorities.”
The campaign video launched today pictures Chief Executive Jill Ludford on Wagga Wagga Beach, urging health workers to come back to work in the Murrumbidgee.
“We need you to help us care for people in our hospitals and in our virtual care centres,” says Ms Ludford.
“If you have skills in the health care industry, if you are a clinician who has previously worked in health care – we would like to hear from you.”
