The Jones family at Beggan Hill were crowned winners of the best Christmas farm gate for 2019.
Harvey and Linda Jones decorated their entrance and quickly became host to a large number of locals who wanted to see their exhibit.
The family won a fuel voucher from Harden Fuel Supplies which they donated to the Abnett family to assist in travelling to Sydney while Louis undergoes treatment.
The Jones family have long contributed to the local
community through the local show, schools and cattle showing.
They decided to join in the festive spirit which was put
together by 6 and a half large rectangle bales of hay and plenty of tinsle and candy canes.
Harvey said “I did it for the grandkids, they loved to see Pa’s tree. The smiles on their faces was worth it.”
The competition was organised by Norm and Joan Porter who have become renowned throughout the district for the decorations they apply to their home on the corner of Scott and East Street each year.
