A fire which broke out in a house on Cattleyards Road on Thursday night, has destroyed 2 homes in Harden.

Emergency services were called to the fire at approximately 7:30pm and were confronted with a house well alight. The fire spread to the adjoining home which was also gutted.

Ambulance, Police, Fire Services and Council attended the scene with Council providing a water tanker.

Fire Brigade members were able to save neighbouring properties and mopping up operations continued in to the night.

No injuries or loss of life has been reported.

Police have cordoned off the area and are at the scene this morning to investigate the cause.
