The Harden Lady Bowlers conducted their annual Triples Tournament last Saturday. Now named the Jenny Ricketts Memorial Triples in honour of Jenny who was a very popular member of the club and a very good bowler.

The day was a huge success, very well run by the ladies. Teams from far and wide attended , including, West Wyalong, Wagga Rules, Temora, Junee, Coota Ex Services, Young, Yass and Canberra. Spectators saw some great bowls played during the day. There were two teams that won all three games for the day so it required a count back to get a winner and it was the Coota Ex Services who were the winners.

The team consisted of Freda Hambrook, Monica Kelly and Sara Lopez. The Runners up were Wagga Rules (Winners last year) their team consisted of Jenny Mitchell, Norma Gay and Elaine Larkin. In third place was also a Wagga Rules team of Leonie Maher, Carol Sanbrook and Joan Stair. The Ricketts family were represented by daughters Kim and Trish, son Michael and Terry was also in attendance. Kim and Trish presented the trophies to the winners and runners up, while Michael spoke on behalf of the family.

Thanking the Lady Bowlers for recognising their fellow bowler in Jenny. The perpetual trophy was donated by Kelly Daley.

Tournament organiser Robyn Apps wishes to thank the following sponsors for sponsoring the day. Kruger Trust, Twomeys, Harden Mens Bowls, Harden Bowling Club and the Ricketts Family. The day was so well organised by the ladies that several teams have booked in for next year.
