Chris Beal and Kai Steele.

Work at McLean Oval has commenced with the Harden Hawks Junior Rugby League Committee chipping in to clean up some of the rubble at the iconic ground along with other community members. President Kai Steele and Vice President Chris Beal, along with Oscar Smith went to work on Friday to remove bricks, timber and metal from the kiosk area. Former 81 premiership winning Hawk, Changa Shea also chipped in to assist with the fence.

The kiosk will be a part of the new amenities building which will be located closer to the field once it is completed. The Hawks will celebrate 100 years since the club was founded in 2020 and are hoping that the new building will be completed part of the way through the season. A mobile food van will be used in the mean time which was provided by the State Government.
