It is my great pleasure to announce that Tayla Merton, Bryden Cracknell, Deanna Minogue, Maria Raptis, Abbey Wade and Lily Shorrock have achieved Platinum level at Murrumburrah High School.

Each of these students has made their own unique impact here.

Tayla consistently abides by school rules and always works constructively in class. She wears her school uniform with pride and behaves impeccably at all times. She is a keen dancer and has performed on stage a number of times with grace and skill. Her teachers compliment her on her politeness, her resourcefulness and her willingness to take opportunities offered to her. Tayla is a quiet and compliant student who has worked successfully to combat personal challenges in her schooling.

Brydan behaves responsibly and works constructively in class. He strives to wear his school uniform with pride and always abides by school rules. He seizes every opportunity to be involved in activities and always strives to ‘have a go”. Brydan’s teachers praise his consistent politeness, his enthusiasm and drive. His energy and positivity are infectious! Brydan has also strived to overcome personal challenges in his schooling and is to be commended for his never give up attitude!

Deanna always behaves exceptionally well, working constructively in class and completing homework promptly. She wears her school uniform with pride and is a student well known for her support of junior students in need. Deanna’s strengths lie in the performing arts where she has participated in CAPA night as well as recently helping to organise the event. Her teachers praise her positivity and maturity and suggest that she is a natural role model for junior students at the school, in addition to being an advocate and support person. Her constructive approach to her education is seen in her hardworking attitude. Deanna has set herself big goals in her education as she embarks on her HSC year, but never loses sight of the big picture seeking to continue to spread positivity through the school.

Maria has been an exemplary student at Murrumburrah High School for the last 5 years. As she embarks on her HSC year it is true to say that these traits will continue. Maria abides by school rules and always behaves responsibly. She works constructively in class and at home, and is always willing to help other students in their understanding of course content. Maria wears her school uniform with pride. Maria has represented the school in debating, soccer, adjudicating public speaking and spelling events at MPS and is an enthusiastic CAPA student, performing in drama and dance activities. Her teachers acknowledge that she is a perfect platinum applicant with her constructive and diligent approach to her education. She is polite and mature and will be a perfect role model for all students at Murrumburrah High School.

Abbey, recently elected school captain of Murrumburrah High School is an exceptional student in every way. She always abides by school rules, behaving impeccably at all times and wearing her school uniform with pride. Abbey works constructively in class and at home and is always willing to aid other students in times of need. She has represented the school in sport, debating and at CAPA night and has been an active member, and now leader, of the SRC consistently. She has embraced her leadership role with enthusiasm and polish, already garnering compliments for her co-hosting of the year 12 graduation events. Her teachers universally praise her positivity and responsibility in all aspects of her education. She has a mature and respectful relationship with all members of staff, from the principal down as well as the whole student body. As a diligent student, and respectful leader, Abbey is a role model to all students at the school!

Lily has been a student at Murrumburrah High School for three years. She has an excellent work ethic, applying herself to all areas of her education with diligence and commitment. She behaves responsibly consistently, abides by all school rules and proudly wears her school uniform. She has represented the school in netball and entered, successfully, into the Operation Art state wide competition. Her teachers commend her for her commitment, identifying her willingness to go beyond expectations in her learning and assessment work. Her maturity is another element that is often noted. As a positive student who is hardworking and responsible, Lily is also a role model to her peers.

These young people are model students of Murrumburrah High School and we should be very proud of their achievements. Congratulations to you all!
