Hilltops Councillors have returned Brian Ingram as Mayor and Tony Wallace as Deputy Mayor for the final year of Council before the 2020 elections.
Council resolved for a show of hands for the mayoral role to decide who would fill the chair’s role for the final year of this term of Council. Harden’s Chris Manchester received 4 votes including his own and support from Councillors O’Connor, Stadtmiller and Roles.
Ingram received votes from himself, Flanery, Horton, Armstrong, Walker and Wallace. Councillor Tuckerman was not present at the meeting.
Once back in the chair Mayor Ingram did not call for Councillors to vote on the preferred method of voting for the Deputy Mayoral vote which was a separate agenda item.
The voting process went ahead by a show of hands regardless of the lack of resolution by Council on the item.
