Alex Stewart has claimed joint Coach of the Year for 2019 in the George Tooke Shield competition co-coaching the Boorowa Rovers. Alex formerly of Harden has enjoyed an impressive career thus far, with stints as a player at Harden and as a premiership winner alongside cousin and former international Michael Weyman at the Moruya Sharks.
Alex helped guide the Rovers this season which was cut short against a red hot Crookwell side which went on to also end Harden’s season at McLean oval on Sunday.
Alex shears in the Boorowa area and surrounds and alongside a young and invigorated Boorowa side mixed with some veterans, gave the competition a big shake this year.
