Live Local, Live Well, Live Healthy – Binalong Community Wellness Fair
The Binalong Community Club was successful for a small grant from the Office of Responsible Gambling for the 2019 Responsible Gambling Awareness Week Community Event Grants.
The purpose of this event is to connect the community, increase our health and well being, raise awareness to minimise harm from gambling, enjoy a fun family day out and especially to showcase all of our talent and creativity within and around Binalong, our beautiful town nestled within the Yass Valley.
This event will be an opportunity for businesses and organisations to introduce and show your services within the local community and connect with them on an individual basis.
We expect people from every facet of our community and others joining in to see what Binalong has to offer.
As an exhibitor we asking you to showcase your business/service and be a part of the day. We are hopeful you will be able to attend; we know many community residents will be appreciative and believe you will have a great time as well.
Please advise if you will be able to exhibit your business and what you would like to do and what times throughout the day.
The club is looking for various sorts of displays and activities:
· food stall holders,
· arts & crafts,
· kids entertainment and activities,
· market stalls,
· poetry/reading
· demonstrations,
· raising awareness stalls,
There will be various demonstrations/workshops/classes on offer (timetables will be made available)
· Golf and Bowls activities for all the family, especially the kids
· ‘OhhBullDust’ Workshop – Samantha Longmore & Angela Taylor
· ‘Yoga with Skye’
· ‘In Bliss’ Workshops – Lisa Hills
The Binalong Community Club would like the whole community to be a part of the day, and are open to suggestions that you may have 😊
Along with the Community Wellness Fair, The Binalong Public School P & C Fundraiser for ‘School Spectacular’ will be held from 6.30pm with a silent auction, BBQ and great nightly entertainment from Luke Dickens – an ex shearer from Young, NSW and runner up on Australian Idol in 2008 – tickets for Luke Dickens will be available through ‘eventbrite’.
