Happy recipients Jennifer Hayes (teacher) and Bridie Minehan (student) form Hennessy Catholic college received a cheque for $1000 from the Wombat Social group for their upcoming Cambodia trip. A group of year 11 students will head of on 5th of July for their annual Cambodia Immersion Hennessy Catholic College Students are off to Cambodia on Hennessy’s Annual Year 11 Immersion Trip.

Every Year the Immersion Trip to Cambodia provides the students with an experience of a lifetime by helping the Cambodian Children and Villages by building them new homes. This Year two new houses will be built by the students in the rural community of Siem Reap Province with the help of Mitre 10 In Young that have Kindly supplied the Hennessy Students with 30 new saws, hammers and gloves to be used. Wombat Local Bridie Minehan recently picked up a check from the Wombat Hotel Social Group that have supported the Hennessy Immersion Trip for many years.

26 Students and 4 Staff members of Hennessy will set off to Cambodia on July 5 before taking some down time to explore a number of Cambodian Schools and the Sisters of Mercy Orphanage in Phnom Penh. The Students and Hennessy thank the community who have donated items, brought raffle tickets and helped organise other fundraising ventures for the students to enjoy this trip.
